What’s next at HCA?

With lockdown restrictions starting to lift and with a brand new building coming soon check out our upcoming dates and plans at HCA.

April: outdoor delivery/digital delivery/indoor activities at Millman Street

May: test events at Holborn House

June: under 5’s/classes at Holborn House

We are due to get the keys to Holborn House in the middle of May.  As well as planning for reopening there, we’re planning how we can bring back activities in line with the government roadmap – as safely and as soon as we can.

Arts pottery will reopen at 1A at the start of summer term.  Our Digital Media Project will run across Two Temple Place and online before moving into Holborn House.  After some digital sessions, our Make and Mend groups, Creative Writing, Creative Communications and Carers Art group will all settle into Holborn House.

Movement – gymnastics will definitely carry on delivery through our Gymflex sessions.  If we can find a venue to accommodate us for May we will – otherwise we’ll be back with classes as usual from after half term.

Play – as we wait to see what the shape of soft play looks like under new guidance our plans are still forming.  We hope to run sessions as soon as we can in May.

Care – our day centre, befriending and Doorstep Help services are all still open.  From from April 12th, we plan to have drop-in activities return to Millman Street Daycare Centre (including yoga, tai chi, mindfulness and drama).

What’s coming next: we’re working with a number of different organisations and within our own teams to plan for ‘business as usual’ from September.  As well as gymnastics, under 5’s and arts expect to see new dance sessions (for all ages), toddler football and community lunches.
