STEM Classes For 8-12 Years

STEM Classes For 8-12 Years

Holborn Community Association this term have been working in partnership with Tybalds Estate and 3 fantastic student volunteers from @STEMAmbassadors to host twelve weekly STEM classes for children aged 8-12 years.

The student volunteers from UCL, Queen Mary University and London School Of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine have been leading the sessions taking place at Falcon Hall on Tybalds Estate.

The classes have been taught to 15 local children to get free extra after-school support in science, technology, engineering and maths.

The classes, connecting local educational institutions and student volunteers with local spaces such as Tenants Hall have been a great success and we plan to run the classes again in 2019, making use of local resources to support further our community.
