Gift a chair for our new Community Centre

Holborn Community Association (HCA) has nearly completed its new building; Holborn House, and now we need to furnish it. We are kindly asking you, the community, to donate a chair toward our new hall, reception, studios, clubrooms, and workspace.

Beginning life as Holborn Boys Club in the 1920s our Community Association is in its centenary year and at 100 years old it is one of the oldest in London. The new Holborn House, on Emerald Street Passageway, replaces our previously rundown, inaccessible home, with a building that reflects the strength and history of this community, makes the centre and its critical work visible, and creates a welcoming and pleasurable place for everyone.

Holborn House, designed by local practice 6a architects, is an open, outward-looking building that provides tall, sunlit new spaces and facilities designed for dual use of community activities and event hires. A new public artwork by artist Caragh Thuring maps histories from HCAs archives across the glass façade, tiling and woven panelling.

The new building has a big character and a big heart – HCA look forward to welcoming you in!
