Corporate Volunteering

Corporate Volunteering

Holborn Community Association has been a vital part of the local community for over 30 years.  Across 3 centres, we run a range of sport, play and art activities for everyone from 0-99+.

Your experience with us can be a long-term relationship or perhaps a one-off volunteer day or special event.  We can also provide opportunities for individuals, teams or larger groups and are happy to accommodate your organisation’s needs.

Volunteer Experience

Taking part in corporate volunteering at HCA provides many benefits including:

  • Increased camaraderie, job satisfaction and team building
  • Raising your organisations profile, improving the corporate culture and employer brand
  • Getting active and recharging your team away from the office
  • Be part of our story and get involved during our next phase of exciting growth

The Benefit For HCA

  • Your financial contribution helps us to continue the running of our services for local people
  • Help us to look outwards and strengthen our connections locally in a meaningful way
  • Give us valuable hands-on volunteer support for improving our space

What Activities

Practical Tasks:

From building to painting to flower bed making we have lots to do at HCA for you to get practical and create.

If your team wants to ‘give back’ as a group we can host groups of up to 15.  For activities such as painting, gardening, or practical help across our centres we ask that groups pay £50 per individual to cover our staffing and resource costs.

Skills Exchange:

Teams can bring a more bespoke group volunteering approach utilising their work skills and experience.  For instance Stantec recently delivered a day long workshop  – using historical images of buildings from the local area as a starting point for a reminiscence session with older people with dementia.

Use our meeting rooms or come for a team activity

With three centres and different spaces from a gymnasium through to our pottery studio we have spaces available for your meeting (and some of them are literally five minutes away).  Our centres run a variety of team building activities for fun and learning such as pottery, screen printing or curry master classes.  We can host teams of up to 15 people. To enquire about either option please contact
