Carers getting creative
Our Carers Art Group got busy in the studio on Wednesday morning experimenting with a range of mediums, from oil paints to watercolour.
The group meets weekly, led by an experienced tutor. The group is a space for people to take a couple of hours away from caring duties to explore their creativity in a relaxed and friendly group (and have a cup of tea and some cake!).
Alongside our weekly sessions, the group head out on trips to art galleries across London, having visited the Wallace Collection in February half term. For many group members, it was the first time they had visited the Collection or a gallery of that kind.
On the 21st March, the group will be heading to Conway Hall to take part in their Alternative Art Fair. Come along and join in, the workshop is open to all (and is part of the wider event with multiple workshops, stalls and events throughout the day).
The carers group will be running a laid back drop-in workshop between 12 pm – 2 pm in Conway Hall’s Bertrand Russell room.
