Sport meets Art at the Calthorpe Project

We had our first Sport Meets Art session at the beautiful Calthorpe Project last week. We had a lovely time making animations on the decking, as well as kicking a ball around on the football pitch! Our animation tutor Chloe worked with one of our participants to bring her sport animation to life, creating a brilliant basketball animation made using cut-out stop motion animation.

The Sport Meets Art session has been started in collaboration with One Housing and the Calthorpe Project to provide a creative and sports activities in a fun and welcoming outdoor environment.

HCA are running the art activities, so if you’re totally new to art, or if you’re a pro with a paintbrush, this is the session for you. Any local children and young people can get involved. Over the next few weeks well be doing drama, designing ceramic tiles and learning about photography.

Activities run each week from 4pm – 5.30pm during term time until July, if you’re aged 8-16 come and join us.
