Millman Street Community Centre has been serving vulnerable older people for over 30 years.

Our ambition is to bring new life to the centre in 2026 – reviltalise and refresh the space for our older adults. We want teams to help paint the space – we have options for teams to paint part or take on a challenge and paint all!

Activity:

The activity is to get our community centre looking vibrant and fresh. Give the building a makeover with some fresh paint and maintenance. You will be tasked with painting and general upkeep of the community garden to bring it back to life. 

We need teams to help with painting the garden walls, the railings around the garden as well as general maintenance and improvement. The activity is suited to groups of up to ten people.

Equiptment will be provided as well as guidance on the space worked on.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to have lunch with members (lunch can be provided).

Contributions to material costs allows for teams to undertake tasks such as these. Your contribution helps us in  achieving our ambition – to carry on  supporting older people by supporting their independence, bringing dignity and enjoyment to their lives.
