Holborn House is open!

Holborn House, our brand new community building is now open to the public with a packed Autumn schedule ahead.

The community space (previously called Bedford House) has gone through a £3.4 million transformation by award-winning architects 6A and fine artist Caragh Thuring, who has also created a major public artwork for the building.

There are new spaces for arts activities and community groups with sporting facilities upgraded – a new floor, changing rooms and improvements to lighting and acoustics.

We’ve already got started with using the space taking part in the popular Open House weekend and included as part of their ‘top 10’ must-see buildings in London.  We held our first community workshop for Bloomsbury Festival in partnership with NW Live Arts who shared “thank you everyone for inspiring creativity! It was fabulous to meet live and enjoy being together after such a long break”.

Bookings are filling up for taekwondo and gymnastics including our new Saturday preschool and toddler sessions. Bloomsbury Bears will also be kicking off their new football sessions for children under six.

For adults, we have a new yoga schedule giving you the chance to stretch and connect with your local community led by inclusive instructors.

We are also getting excited to host the brilliant Fun Palace on the 3rd of October.

Keep an eye out for more events and activities coming soon and have a look at our activities calendar for full listings
