HCA Media Arts Intern (15-19 years old)

Holborn Community Association is looking for a Media Arts Intern to provide administrative and workshop support to the HCA Media Arts Coordinator who will be planning, coordinating and facilitating film, media and arts workshops and opportunities for children and young people (aged 7-24 years) as part of the HCA Digital Media Program. The Intern will be required to provide peer support and guidance to those participating on the project as well as provide administrative and marketing support across the program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to increase their skills, knowledge and abilities in community arts, arts administration, youth work and digital arts and film-making practices. 

The successful candidate will ideally have previously participated in one of our digital media and/or creative arts projects and will have a keen interest in digital media and a demonstrable experience of the processes involved in delivering such projects. As HCA is a community organisation, the intern will know the local area and be aware of 1A Arts, its previous projects, and its participants’ demographic.

Contract length: Up to 160 hours between January and May 2021

Pay rate: £6.45 per hour (plus holiday pay, no sick pay) 

Minimum age:  15 years

Maximum age: 19 years
