Peer Intern (Summer Film Project 2020) 

  • Up to 160 hours between April and October (see Job Description for confirmed dates).
  • £6.45 per hour (plus holiday pay, no sick pay)
  • Candidates must be between 15 and 18 years old
  • The Peer Intern have the opportunity to gain their Silver Arts Award whilst working with us. 

Holborn Community Association is looking for a Peer Intern (aged 15-18) to provide administrative and workshop support to the HCA Media Arts Coordinator and co-facilitator, who will be planning, coordinating and facilitating this year’s Summer Film Project, in which young people (aged 13-18) work with professional filmmakers to make their own short film.

The Peer Intern will be required to provide peer support and guidance to the young people participating on the project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to increase their skills, knowledge and abilities in film and media, community arts and youth work. The Peer Intern have the opportunity to gain their Silver Arts Award whilst working with us. 

The successful candidate will ideally have previously participated in one of our filmmaking and/or creative arts projects and will have a keen interest in film and digital media and demonstrable experience of the processes involved in delivering such projects. As HCA is a community organisation, the intern will know the local area and be aware of HCA, its previous projects, and its participants’ demographic.
