Crafting Community Connections

Crafting Community Connections – in Camden

An event to bring people together, connect to nature and explore community action on your doorstep.

Thursday 30th May (May half-term) , 11:00 – 14:00

Venue: Holborn House

Free and open to all!

Join Eden Project Communities, Living Communities CIC and Holborn Community Association for this free one-day event in Camden. Enjoy creative activities exploring the amazing things that can happen when people make and create together and be nourished by delicious food.

We’ll start by making bunting pennants in a workshop facilitated by Gemma Lloyd and Jeni Walker-Lawes from Living Communities CIC. The bunting produced will be exhibited at the Eden Project in Cornwall during June, and will be added to by other communities from across the UK.

We’ll share food and conversation as we tuck into a Big Lunch with delicious food from the lovely people at Thenga Café and OrganicLea.

In the afternoon we’ll adventure through easy ways we can have a positive impact in our communities and for the planet, sharing top tips, ideas and actions – including how to make planters from recycled materials and seeds you can take away.

This event is an opportunity to spring into action, try new things and explore how craft can grow local community connections.
