Botanical Noise Art!

What is botanical noise art?

Well, that’s what our members at Millman Street discovered when they were visited by tutors from the British Library. The tutors taught them an innovative way to make art using flowers.

Putting flowers of their choosing, placing them on paper, card or cloth – covering the flowers up and crushing them with gavel-like tools to make colourful patterns on their chosen material. No two patterns were the same, each being unique and lovely in their own right.

The over 55s had a blast banging out their art in this unusual, noisy, creative arts session.

Have a look at the clip below to see them in action!
