Our activities programme for older people stimulates older people socially, cognitively and physically to improve their emotional and physical well-being.  Most important of all though is that it’s fun!

Volunteers are key to making our activities programme a success.  If you have a skill or interest that you’d like to share we’d love to hear from you - currently volunteers run singing, creative writing, computing and drama activities.  You don’t have to be an expert.  A warm and open approach is the most important thing and you can learn new skills alongside older people.

Current opportunities

We are keen to hear from volunteers interested in supporting the following activities

Walks – do you know the area well?  Would you like to lead an informal group walk on regular basis?  We want to bring people together and help them keep active and build a group that comes together to explore the local area and meet new people

Administration – if you have ever worked in an office setting you’ll know how important good administration support is!  We’re keen to get a volunteer administrator to help with some simple record keeping, cash handling and meeting and greeting.

All volunteers will need to be willing to undergo and enhanced DBS check
