We held our first ever Fun Palace

On Sunday 7 October we welcomed over 200 people along to Conway Hall for a day of fun, exploration and creativity. Our first ever Fun Palace had a wide variety of workshop, from art and drama to creating giant polystyrene flu viruses…
There were lots of smiles and laughter, and some amazing pieces of artwork created throughout the day.
“Thank you so much for such an amazing day. All the activities were great. An incredible way
to bring the community together!” – Fun Palace participant
We want to say a huge thank you to the team of people and organisations who helped us plan, set up and deliver activities, especially the Conway Hall for letting us use their beautiful building for the day.
“I am still feeling so happy from yesterday. Thank you for the opportunity. Was so good to
have the platform and space to perform. I’m feeling very inspired and I know the rest of the group are too. It was a real confidence boost. Here’s to more play!” – Sarah Johns from CAT Housing & Support, who led a group of adults with learning disabilities in a band jam session.
It was wonderful to see the event get a lot of coverage too, including the Londonist ‘Things To Do In London This Weekend’.
Did you come to Fun Palace? We’d love to hear what you thought or see your pictures.
