Impact

Our activities support a huge range of individuals to improve their well-being, increase their skills and confidence and engage them with the wider community.  In 2017

  • 75% of parents attending our Under 5’s sessions said it helped reduce isolation and build new friendships
  • 189 older people benefitted from 442 activity sessions focused on physical, emotional, social and cognitive well-being
  • 100% of older people supported through Befriending reported reduced isolation and improved well-being
  • 178 young people took part in our Digital Media Project with 14 completing Bronze and Silver Arts Awards
  • 2 gymnastics volunteers achieved Level 1 Coaching qualifications (and are now employed by HCA) we offered 8 arts volunteering opportunities for young people and 1 internship and volunteers contributed 2354 hours to our projects last year

HCA partners with cultural institutions, organisations and businesses locally and across the London area.   We offer an opportunity to engage with the community in Holborn and make a real difference to the lives of people in that community.

Awards and Accreditation 

Our sport and fitness activities are accredited by British Gymnastics and Camden Community Sport team.  This means you can be confident our coaches are trained to the appropriate level in their discipline and the organisation meets national and local standards for safeguarding, governance and financial accountability.

Our organisation is Project Oracle accredited reflecting the high standard of our monitoring and evaluation.  We are proud to be a London Living Wage Employer.
