ApArt Club – Virtual Gallery Project (Adults)
Join us for a NEW 12 week online intergenerational art project and create a ‘virtual’ gallery of digital artwork produced by members of our local community!
Two groups, Media Arts Club (13-18 year olds) and adults and older people (18+ – over 55s) will work simultaneously to create their own digital art work for an online blog/exhibition that reflects on our individual and shared experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Have a look at the beginnings of the blog that the young people have started: https://hcavirtualgallery.
Each week artists will be tasked with different creative challenges to produce content for their virtual gallery using media which is accessible to them, such as taking a series of photographs around our homes, doing some reflective writing or drawing, recording some audio, documenting a walk, making a video, producing a basic animation.
In these uncertain times in isolation, this project will offer a chance to stay connected with other, collaborate with different generations within our community, get hands on with some digital and creative tools and most importantly have fun!
The project will be delivered by our tutors in weekly online Zoom sessions, but art-work can also be completed outside of these sessions too:
ONLINE SESSIONS – ADULTS (aged 18+ – over 55s) – Thursdays 3-4.30pm – starts 7th May
ONLINE SESSIONS – YOUNG PEOPLE (aged 13-18) – Wednesdays 4-6pm – starts 29th April
