Make and Mend group

Do you love to crochet, knit, sew or upcycle old materials?

Our make and mend group meets on Tuesday afternoons from 4.30pm – 5.30pm at 1A Arts.

The group is an informal session, and is not led by a facilitator, but we encourage people to come along and make the most of the groups collective knowledge.  You can either try out a textiles skill by making something new, or mend a piece of clothing or textiles that you’ve had at home and not known what to do with, the current group are always willing to share ideas and skills.

Basic materials are provided, including crochet hooks, knitting needles, wool, embroidery thread and material and scrap materials. Group members are also welcome to bring along their own projects from home if they wish.

The group is peer led and open to anyone aged 18+. It is about sharing our skills as well as having a cup of tea and a chat with a group of friendly, like minded crafty people.
