Jewellery Making Workshops helps fund 1A Arts Young Studio for creative locals

This February Holborn Community Association hosted their second successful Jewellery Making workshop at 1A Arts.  The ticketed event saw attendees get creative learning a silver cut out and polish technique.

Designs included a dragonfly bracelet and lightning and heart pendants, with all guests taking home a new bespoke piece of jewellery.

The workshop was run by talented jeweller House Of Denna whose own grandfather was a jeweller in Hatton Garden, just down the road from the 1A Arts building.

Costing just £30 the masterclasses give 50% of the ticket cost back into community activities for young people, like our new young studio project for local creatives aged 18 – 30, which launches in May.

Hazel East, 1A Arts manager and creator of the events says “it’s been brilliant to continue our creative masterclass series in 2019.  The classes are a great way to give back and learn a new creative skill”.
